Scope:
This position will manage MOD’s efforts in serving as the “backbone organization” for the Coalition for Optimal and Equitable Maternal Health, a multi-stakeholder coalition to advance maternal health. The Project Director will lead MOD’s efforts to ensure the Coalition’s governance through strong coalition management and support of its policy development and advocacy, data and research, and communications and outreach efforts. The Project Director will work closely with all Coalition member organizations and internal MOD leaders engaged in the Coalition’s initiatives to advance its work as determined by the Steering Committee leadership and Working Groups over the next two years (2020-2021).

Position Responsibilities |
Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with Coalition partners by acting as the point person for the Coalition to drive high alignment and action within the March of Dimes and the Coalition. Coordinate the Coalition Steering Committee meetings, Coalition quarterly meetings and its annual meeting, attend working group meetings and help facilitate the development of their agendas, and ensure the Coalition runs effectively and meets its overall objectives. Provide robust support of the Coalition including: scheduling meetings, developing agendas, and creating meeting materials. Identify and prepare speakers for meetings of the Coalition.
- Implement the day-to-day activities of the Coalition including communications via a new website, emails, develop its annual report and mid-year newsletter, and work with Coalition members to facilitate communications between the Coalition’s working groups. Track the Coalition’s progress, develop and implement performance measurement and evaluation strategies for the Coalition. Provide strategic direction and work to identify funding support, partnership opportunities, or impact potential for the Coalition. Represent March of Dimes and the Coalition externally to engage current and additional organizations, drawing on their unique expertise, to drive improvements in maternal health, spurring collective action and shared strategy and metrics.
- Manage the Coalition’s budget, grant administration, and evaluation and reporting and other necessary components to support revenue development and financial security for the Coalition. Assist in seeking ongoing financial support for the Coalition by identifying and cultivating new funders to ensure the Coalition’s sustainability.

Position Qualifications |
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years experience
- Four year college degree or equivalent experience; Master's degree
- Relationship development, collaboration, attention to detail and organizational skills
