Position Title: Manager of Marketing Projects


Location: Houston, TX


Gulf Interstate Engineering provides quality project management, engineering and design, GIS, materials management, and construction management services to the worldwide oil and gas industry.  Specializing in onshore pipelines, gathering systems, production facilities, compressor stations, pump stations, meter stations, storage terminals and loading facilities; Gulf is one of the largest privately-owned pipeline engineering companies in the world.

Position Description

The Position is responsible for Managing and coordinating the marketing projects consisting of creating, implementing and optimizing marketing across all product and business lines and insures collateral (print, presentation and video) are prepared for each. The Manager will contribute to and manage high-impact communications campaigns, initiatives and tactics in support of the business goals. The Manager will act as a strategic business partner and advise business leaders on effective communications strategy while monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of communications strategies and tactics.


Essential Functions

  • Develops and implements multi-channel marketing plans meant to promote the organization and it’s services.
  • Designs campaigns targeting specific market segments or focusing on specific products or product lines.
  • Assists in the production of print, online, or other forms of advertisement, and assists with special events or promotions.
  • Measures and analyzes campaign results to determine ROI.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees.
  • Has full authority for personnel decisions and may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change.
  • Marketing partner/liaison with business partners(Subcontractors), Business Development Managers and Executive Management Team.
  • Understand and assist in the development of the GIE campaign strategy and objective.
  • Lead development and creation of collateral and other media for GIE and ensure marketing materials are in line with the campaign strategy and objectives.
  • Website Development and Project Management Develop metrics to track marketing materials/efforts
  • Lead the development and management of the marketing budget.
  • Develop corporate brand and program positioning, value proposition, branding, messaging and creative strategy by understanding and responding to the needs of the customer.
  • Prepare programs which drive new customer acquisition and improve customer retention.
  • Manage internal and external communication efforts of the company, including customer, vendor, and partner communications and press releases.
  • Oversee the creative development process for campaigns.
  • Consult with management to ensure marketing plans are coordinated and messaged appropriately.
  • Liaise with key internal stakeholders to secure approvals, including legal/regulatory and executive team.
  • Brainstorm innovative new products and marketing activities that will help differentiate the brand and drive business goals.
  • Deliver relevant reports and present insights to keep larger organization abreast of marketing activities.




  • 5+ years of product and service marketing and communications experience
  • Experience in business/marking writing and brand standards.
  • Experience with Google SEO
  • Knowledge of the oil and gas industry
  • Direct experience developing marketing and communications plans and understanding how the implementation of plans impact organic growth
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely and cost effectively manner
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in managing marketing projects with design, advertising, photo and video components.
  • Able to prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Marketing, public relations, or related industry)
