We are seeking a Director of Outpatient Services with the following skills and experience:
Job Summary
Coordinates the daily activities of the outpatient site(s) (outpatient therapy and outpatient medical) in which they manage along with other responsibilities as may be assigned. Responsible for the day to day overall operations of assigned sites. Tasks include
oversight and staff development of nonclinical and clinical staff as assigned in their reporting structure, overseeing schedules, ensuring template availability is maintained at required levels and is accurate at all times, working with scheduling Department
and supervisors to ensure availability is fully booked and assisting in the analysis to ensure any gaps in scheduling to availability is closed. When gaps exist recommendations and action steps to close similar gaps from recurring is required. Assists in the
development of outpatient policies, flows and patient throughput to maximize clinical care and optimal efficiency and patient experience. Proactively always keeps the site in a state of Joint Commission readiness and compliant with regulations and standards.
Ensures an operation which provides a warm and inviting environment to all with an excellent patient experience at the site. Fosters an environment in which all staff and families feel engaged are serviced professionally and assist families, patients and staff
to assure quality of care and access to services. Oversees patient flow, budgeting, facilities related issues and customer service inquires.
Essential Job Functions
-Coordinates the day to day operations of the outpatient site(s)
-Overall management of the flow of patients from intake to check out
-Coordinates the daily activates of all non-clinical, therapy and ACC clinical support staff at the site
-Responsible for the direct oversight and development of non-clinical and clinical staff under their direct supervision structure
-Serves as the "go to" patient experience and customer service lead in regard to practice logistics, inbound and outbound communications, patient complaints, billing and eligibility discrepancies and issues related to physical plant
-Create and maintain budget and supply chain oversight for all clinical areas
-Support hospital leadership in the creation and implementation of key strategies to support organizational goals
-Oversite of proper staffing of all therapists and therapy support staff, nursing, medical assistants, social workers, and ACC clinical support staff
-Ensure template availability is maintained at required levels for all clinicians and is accurate at all times,
-Work with Scheduling Department and supervisors to ensure template availability is fully booked and assist in the analysis to ensure any gaps in scheduling to availability is closed. When gaps exist recommendations and action steps to close gaps from recurring

--Ensures staff development and satisfaction and that all staff is fully engaged in the decisions which impact their work
-Ensure TJC readiness and compliance to regulations and standards at all times for the site
-Ensure documentation completeness and timely submission
Develops and monitors all statistics and department performance improvement including but not limited to cancellations, no shows, patient scheduling, productivity and documentation for the purpose of ensuring the efficient operation of the site and alignment
with budget expectations (ie volumes, expenses, etc)
-Continually evaluates the ambulatory care processes to improve services for internal and external customers at all assigned sites
-Supports staff and encourages them to have a sense of ownership of their work processes and provide staff the opportunity to provide feedback regarding department and hospital operation
-Motivate staff to improve their performance, continually leading to improved department performance. Maximizes potential of self and subordinates by supporting professional growth and conducting training and orientation sessions.
-Responsible for the operation of all assigned sites, and for the measurement, assessment and continuous improvement of the departments performance
Evaluates staff needs, space, equipment and other resources needed to provide the departments services. Develops and administers department budgets according to hospital guidelines for all assigned sites
Work with AVP of Access Management on future ACC growth, planning of space and staff
Involved in problem solving delivery care model changes. Assists CMO and COO to implement new patient care models
Coordinates the development and implementation of policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services to meet customer expectations for the organization.
-Facilitate the onboarding of clinical staff .
-Assist in the development and implementation of outpatient policies, flows and patient throughput to maximize clinical care and optimal patient efficiency experience.

Requirements |
Formal Education and Job-Related Experience
* Masters degree preferred. Supervisory leadership experience preferred. Knowledge of clinical setting and operations preferred.
Certification
* AHA BLS Provider Certification required, if applicable.
License
* Current license in clinical area of PT,OT or ST, if applicable.
